Van Driver Jobs Across the UK

Van driver work covers everything from small-vehicle same-day courier through to LWB and XLWB Sprinter multi-drop and Luton tail-lift pallet routes. Thea Nexus places self-employed van owner-drivers on contract work across every one of these categories.

Which van you run largely determines what work you can pick up. SWB and MWB vans suit same-day and small-parcel work. LWB and XLWB Sprinters and Transits suit multi-drop parcel and B2B routes. Luton box vans with tail lifts are the standard vehicle for pallet delivery and retail replenishment. Thea Nexus places owner drivers across the full range.

Because our client base spans parcel carriers, retailers, 3PLs and pallet networks, we can match a van owner-driver to the type of work that best fits their vehicle and preferred day. Rates and route terms are agreed in advance with each client and published to drivers so there are no surprises after signing up.

Peak-period demand from October to January consistently outstrips normal capacity, and van owner-drivers who are already registered with Thea Nexus are approached first. That means one registration in June still places you in front of clients during the busiest weeks of the year.

To work on van driver contracts through Thea Nexus you'll need a UK driving licence for the vehicle you operate, hire-and-reward insurance, goods-in-transit cover of at least £10,000, a UTR self-employed number and, for 3PL and parcel work, a basic DBS.

Registration is free and takes about 10 minutes. Once registered, you can filter routes by postcode, vehicle type and preferred work profile — same-day, multi-drop, pallet or dedicated.
